The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) is seeking feedback on options to increase the use of remote inspections to streamline the inspection process.

This will help deliver on the Government’s objectives to increase housing supply by lifting efficiency and competition in the building system, removing regulatory barriers, and driving down costs.

MBIE has developed a discussion document for public consultation. We would like to hear your feedback on the options you prefer and the benefits and costs of remote inspections for you and your organisation.

Have your say

MBIE invites feedback via the Have Your Say page - mbie.govt.nz

The consultation is now open, submissions close at 5pm Friday 29 November 2024.
