E Moisture
E Moisture provides for building to manage water. It contains Building Code clauses E1 Surface water, E2 External moisture and E3 Internal moisture.
The provisions ensure conditions for healthy, safe and durable buildings. They protect people and other property from the adverse effects of surface water, from penetration by water, and the accumulation of moisture from both the outside and inside. Adverse effects, for example, include undue dampness, damage or degradation to building elements, condensation, or fungal growth.
Record of amendments is a record of changes to the acceptable solutions, verification methods and handbooks.

E1 Surface water
Disposal of rainwater from external surfaces and confirmation surface water cannot enter the building.

E2 External moisture
External roof, wall claddings and external openings will prevent external moisture from causing undue dampness or damage.

E3 Internal moisture
Surfaces in wet areas must be impervious, easily cleaned, and have ventilation to meet conditions for health and safety.
