Building Code 2020 update will be published on 5 November 2020

The changes to the Building Code update, due to be published in September, will now be published on Thursday, 5 November 2020.

We understand that you and your organisation are busy in the current environment and will be focused on making sure you can successfully work through COVID-19 driven disruptions. We want to support you and the building and construction sector by publishing these changes at the right time.

MBIE also received a number of late submissions about the proposed changes, that we would like to work through with the submitters.

Delaying the Building Code updates until November 2020 means updates will consistently be published in November each year as previously announced in Building Controls Update 268.
