The Building Amendment Bill in 2021

Following the 2020 election, the Building (Building Products and Methods, Modular Components, and Other Matters) Amendment Bill will be back in front of Parliament this year.

The Bill has been reinstated by the new Parliament and the new Select Committee is now expecting to report back to Parliament by 4 March 2021.

The submissions for the bill have been made publicly available, and these are available on the parliamentary website.

We expect to be able to engage with you from May 2021 on the next phase of work which will include public input into the development of regulations required to support the legislation.
