Last updated: 21 March 2016
You can use the following document as a starting point for your MultiProof application. It may help you to understand what information you need to provide within your plans and specifications.
Compliance with the Building Code for your MultiProof design can be established in a number of ways. These include, but are not limited to:
- Acceptable Solutions
- Verification Methods
- product certification.
The means you select will depend on the type of construction, the complexity of the design, and whether the design incorporates building methods or products that are new to the market.
Each Building Code clause includes a number of subclauses under the headings:
- Objective
- Functional requirement
- Performance.
You will need to review these to check which are relevant to the type and use of the proposed building, and then determine how you will demonstrate compliance. Your designer can advise.
Building Code compliance has an overview of the Building Code clauses you may need to refer to.
