Acceptable Solutions and Verification Methods (AS and VMs) were called compliance documents. Some still have the “compliance document” title but the AS or VMs they contain are valid and unaffected by the name change.

All of the Acceptable Solutions and Verification Methods relating to F1 are contained in one document.

  • F1/VM1 sets out methods for assessing hazardous agents or contaminants on a site. It includes:
    • site investigation and analysis
    • tables of common contaminants and prevalence by industry
    • characteristics that may indicate the presence of hazardous contaminants.
    • preliminary guide to remedial actions to reduce concentrations.
